Hello!

We are Nottingham University Christian Union – a growing community of students passionate about sharing the great news of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection with every student at the University of Nottingham – our coursemates, hall mates, neighbours and friends. We believe that God’s Word compels us to prayerfully pursue our mates in order that they might come to know the life-transforming, radically good news of Jesus Christ, and so the CU exists to facilitate that through various events throughout the year, as well as encouraging Christian students to live for Jesus at university through gathering together every week.

This might look like inviting your neighbours or coursemates to come to an Explore Group – communities in halls and in homes that offer the opportunity to people of all faiths and none to Explore Christianity through God’s Word, and know belonging and friendship in their neighbourhoods and halls. Through Explore Groups running ‘Dial-a-Doughnut’ events, and our Big Questions lunchbars, we love giving students the opportunity to ask their questions about life and the Christian faith. This all culminates in the highlight of the NUCU calendar, our Events Week where our Marquee on the Downs becomes host to daily lunchbars and evening events, offering a clear opportunity for students at the University of Nottingham to hear and respond to the gospel.

So if you’re someone in Nottingham that wants to be involved with some of these things and shares our mission for campus, or someone who wants to find out more about this good news, we’d love to get to know you. Have a flick around our website to find out more about what’s going on and how you can get involved, or drop us a message at the bottom!

The CU is affiliated with UCCF and is united around the core beliefs comprising the UCCF Doctrinal Basis. Check it out here.
