Welcome to Hu Stu, clearly the best hall on campus because it is the highest above sea level. We are Tom and Jen, and we have the awesome privilege of being the Nine20 leaders/CU Reps in Hu Stu. Tom loves most anything, and as a humanities student (Theology) has plenty of time for playing Fifa, banter, and drinking in preparation for a top night out. Jen is a scientist, but quite good fun in spite of it. Nine20 is a chance to explore Christianity in any way you want, get in touch with CU, Church and other Christians at Nottingham. It is based on Luke 9v20, where Jesus asks the question, 'Who do you say I am?'. We found it really helpful settling in knowing that there were nutters (like we are now) who had already done first year and just wanted to help us ease into university life, with a chance to have a crack at Jesus.
We look forward to meeting you in September, please don't be put off by the above words, or indeed the pictures, Jen is quite nice really, and Tom is tolerable between the hours of 2pm and 2am (humanities students don't function the same as normal humans). Hu Stu is a brilliant place to spend your first year in Nottingham, and we will be on hand at all hours as we live in halls. Come to us with any problems and issues, we will be in monumentally embarrassingly coloured shirts during Freshers Week.
