Hey there Derby! First of all… good going on choosing such an awesome place to live next year, it is a big, friendly hall and you're gonna love it. We are Josh Armstrong (I Block) who does Mechanical Engineering and Anna Metcalfe (F Block) who does Chemistry, and we are 2nd years living in Derby and are going to be your Christian Union reps this year! Another thing we get called is “nine20 leaders”, and this is cheekily referring to a part of the Bible where Jesus asks the question: “who do you say I am?” (Luke 9 verse 20 ... See what we did there?!).
Whoever you are, whatever belief you have and wherever you come from we are here to serve you this year. There are a number of things that we will be doing such as getting together once a week to talk about God, eat food, drink tea, have a laugh, and read some Bible! We will also be putting on little events throughout the year to give you a chance to find out more about this amazing guy called Jesus, and to encourage you to tell your friends about him too. A lot of the time this will involve you getting to eat free toasties!.. It’s a pretty good deal. If you’re looking to get settled in to a local Church we’re here to help with that too.
