Steve Spreadborough and Marie Elsdon
Hi all, we’re Steve and Marie your Christian Union Reps in Broadgate; the best hall in the world! We are second year students; Steve studies psychology while Marie studies history and history of art.
It’s our role to lead Nine20, which is a weekly bible study. The name comes from Luke 9:20, where Jesus asks his disciples “Who do you say I am?”, and that’s what we hope to explore together. As part of small groups all over campus, each week we study the bible, worship, pray together, play Marie’s crazy games and get to know each other, all while enjoying good food and cake. We meet each Thursday evening at 7.30 at Beeston Free Church, which is just down Salthouse Lane.
The Christian Union seeks to glorify God and make disciples of Jesus Christ in the student world, and small groups are the practical way of doing this by putting on evangelical events and seeking God together.
