Faculty Groups
So, you're a Christian and a student at Nottingham University. You're part of a local church and part of a faculty; and yet you probably don't know most of the Christians on your course. More importantly, you're missing an opportunity to unite with them in serving God where you study and work.
What if for a small part of each week we could come together with other Christians from diverse churches, to focus on God and serving our faculties? What if our university saw Christians overcoming differences, even in important things, because they share the calling to glorify God for who He is, and for sending Jesus to bring those who believe in Him back into a relationship with Him?
Faculty Groups are a weekly lunchtime group that will assist in strengthening communities of varying believers in each faculty to focus on using a small amount of their time to share the Gospel through unity in it, sharing the calling and promises central to it, and through practical displays of it.
Every month during term each group will plan and host an evangelistic event for their faculty which could be almost anything, big or small. The few meetings in between will be spent planning and praying for these events and focusing on God in His word. It's important for us to be a community grounded in God's word as we reach out to share its message with our friends. We encourage you to join your Faculty Group as often as possible to study and discuss relevant Bible passages whilst we seek to share the good news of the glorious God that we believe in ways that are loving but also clear.
