Week One

Hi!
You've made it here! Good job! So now I guess you want to know what's going on.

Well, both Broadgate nine20 and the central Christian Union have lots of great
things happening to welcome you in Week One.
There is a CU stall in the Freshers' Fayre so do pop along and say 'hi' , they're
a really friendly bunch...honestly.

So...Week One;

On Tuesday there is a Footie Kick-About on the Astro Turf by the Freshers' Fayre 4-5pm

On Wednesday, we have a amazing Quiz happening for all you freshers. It should be a lot of fun and is a great chance to meet other freshers. There will be a short talk from the CU president, Paul. It takes place in the Dining Room in Derby Hall at 8pm. We will be meeting at 7.40pm at Beeston Free Church (on the corner of Salthouse Lane)to walk over together.

Thursday is the first nine20 of the year, which is very exciting. It'll be another chance to meet other freshers and it will be very informal with ice cream...maybe cake, some silly games and lots of chatting. We'll meet again at Beeston Free Church at 7.10pm and walk round the corner to 14 Marlborough Road. (Normally nine20 takes place on a Wednesday at 7.30pm, meeting at 7.15pm at Beeston Free.)

Friday sees the first CU Meeting of the Year. It is the time where the whole Christian Union meets to focus on God, praise and worship Him, through songs, prayer and a talk from a visiting speaker. Everyone is welcome. It starts at 7.30pm in the Maths & Physics building, Rm B1. We will again meet at Beeston Free Church (do you see a pattern?) at 7.10pm.
